H2XTREME®

High loft, high efficiency Thermolex™ synthetic down – developed and tested by STORMTECH is inserted into each quilted panel to a specific fill weight in order to achieve maximum waUltimate weather protection through advanced waterproof/breathable technology, engineered to keep moisture at bay, inside and out. H2XTREME® membranes stop water and wind from penetrating the garment while allowing water vapor to escape, keeping you warm and dry in all weather conditions.rmth and softness. Engineered to be lightweight and highly efficient in all weather conditions.

D/W/R Technology

Durable Water Repellent technology is a polymer coating added to outerwear to provide water resistant protection. DWR treated fabrics prevent light rain and snow precipitation from saturating the outer fabric surface and prevents fabric from becoming weighed down by excess moisture, for optimized comfort and freedom of movement.

  • SEALED SEAMS

Seam sealing is the application of a specialized waterproof film used to seal seams. Because sewing needles create small holes that will cause the fabric to leak, seam-sealing is used to seal the holes, to make the seam waterproof. Fully seam-sealed indicates that all seams are sealed, to make a watertight outer membrane.

  • CRITICALLY SEALED SEAMS

The critically sealed seams icon indicates that the seams and junctions most vulnerable to leak under normal conditions - typically the seams on the neck, shoulders, and chest – are sealed. In this case, not all seams are sealed. Critical seam sealing is a suitable technology for most outdoor activities, but full seam sealing is best for extreme weather.

  • ULTRASONIC WELDED SEAMS

A system developed by STORMTECH by taking several factors into consideration such as activity level, wind chill, sun exposure etc. A useful guide for selecting the appropriate garment for your adventure.

    Mild: +20°C (68°F) to +5°C (41°F)
    Cold: +5°C (41°F) to -10°C (14°F)
    Extreme Cold: -10°C (14°F) to -30°C (-22°F)

Anti-Snag

Anti-snag construction is achieved by using specialized yarns that are less likely to break or unravel when pulled or snagged by incorporating specific knitting techniques that reinforce the fabric and reduce the risk of snagging. The result is a more durable and resilient fabric that is less likely to snag or run; improving the quality and longevity of the finished product.

H2XDRY

Next-to-skin climate control with moisture management technology to regulate your core. Body moisture is transported from the skin to the fabrics outer surface through the capillary action of specialized moisture wicking yarns.

UPF Sun Protection

UVX rating is a measurement of the ultraviolet protection provided by a fabric used in garments, indicating how effectively the fabric blocks UVA and UVB radiation from the sun, which can cause skin damage. Fabrics are treated or constructed using densely woven or knitted fabrics and UV absorbent fibers to reflect UVA and UVB light.

Thermolex™

High loft, high efficiency Thermolex™ synthetic down – developed and tested by STORMTECH is inserted into each quilted panel to a specific fill weight in order to achieve maximum warmth and softness. Engineered to be lightweight and highly efficient in all weather conditions.

  • WATERPROOF

Keeps outside moisture from penetrating the fabric. The waterproof rating is typically expressed in milliliters (1,000mm to 10,000mm) based on water pressure tolerance over a 24-hour period. Generally, the higher the rating, the higher the waterproof protection.

    Basic | Level 1: 600mm to 2,000mm
    High | Level 2: 2,000mm to 8,000mm
    Extreme | Level 3: 8,000mm to 15,000mm+

  • BREATHABLE

The movement of air from one side of the fabric to the other to keep the wearer comfortable. The breathability rating is typically expressed in a gram measurement of how much vapor a square meter (G/M2) of fabric will allow to pass in a 24-hour period (typically, 1,000G/M2 to 10,000G/M2) the higher the number, the more breathable the garment.

    Basic | Level 1: 1,000g/m2
    High | Level 2: 5,000g/m2
    Extreme | Level 3: 15,000g/m2+

Thermoshall

High efficiency/high loft synthetic alternative to down, designed to maintain its thermal properties while being lightweight providing superior resistance in colder conditions. Quilting is achieved by sewing through all 3 layers of the garment.

HD OutShell

Heavy-duty, heavy weight nylon and polyester fabrics are constructed to withstand the most rigorous and extreme industrial applications and weather conditions. HD fabrics are also coated to achieve a high level of water resistance.
